Feeding Recommendations
It’s important to feed your Coton de Tulear small, dry kibble from the start. Check the bag to see that the food includes highest quality ingredients and is made in the U.S.A.  It's best if the food was  developed by a team of veterinarian, and backed by PHD's in pet nutrition. Typically, your Coton de Tulear needs about three-fourths cup of food a day, divided into two meals.

Nutritional Requirements
You can keep your Coton de Tulear healthy and happy by feeding him a superior holistic, grain-free, and antioxidant rich dog food. Higher quality foods allow for better absorption which means less poop for you to pick up. They also don't eat as much. Real meat should be the first ingredient followed by a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. You want to feed as naturally as possible. Stay away from cheap fillers, added sugars, sweeteners, artificial flavors, preservatives, and chemicals. Never feed your Coton de Tulear a low grade food with cheap fillers,  corn, wheat or soy. Some other important ingredients to look for is taurine to support heart health.  A balance of calcium and phosphorus for stronger teeth and bones. Glucosamine to protect joints. DHA to support healthy brain development. Omega's are always a must have because they have tremendous benefit on the heart as well as make a noticeable difference in the skin and coat. Prebiotics play a very important role in your Coton de Tulear. Disclaimer: We are NOT licensed vets.
